Please take the time to carefully review this information package so that your vacation goes smoothly without any issues! Important iInformation for guests staying at Marina Chalets
Parking is allowed in the yard in the available parking spaces marked with a sign “visitor parking.” Parking in reserved and covered spaces is prohibited.
The PIN code you received will work on the exterior door and the apartment door during your stay, from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival until 12:00 PM on the day of departure.
Bicycles or other mobility equipment can be stored in the storage space on the ground floor. The storage door opens with the PIN code you received. Access is from the hallway downstairs or from the sea side.
The number of guests staying in the apartment must not exceed the number of beds specified.
Bedding for extra beds can be found in the apartment’s closet.
The temperature in the apartment is controlled through the thermostats on the walls. Please note that there may be a delay of several hours in the adjustment.
During the summer, to enhance ventilation, we recommend keeping the blackout curtains closed during the day. The building’s shared ventilation cannot be adjusted individually for the apartment.
If there is a sauna in the apartment, towels must be used for sitting. The use of scent additives for the sauna is prohibited.
Smoking is prohibited inside the apartment, as well as on the balcony and terrace. This includes e-cigarettes. Smoking inside the property will trigger a fire alarm. We will charge the person responsible for any unnecessary fire alarm costs, as well as potential additional cleaning fees. Smoking is allowed in designated areas.
Open fires and the use of fireworks in the company’s yard area are prohibited.
Quiet hours at our properties are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Before departure, please ensure that all your luggage is with you, the balcony windows and doors are closed, and the doors are locked.
When leaving, kindly take out the trash and place dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Final cleaning of the apartment is included in the accommodation price.
The check-out time is at 12:00 PM. If you vacate the apartment before 12:00 PM, please kindly notify us of your departure by sending a text message “Apartment X free” to the number 050 5415431. By doing so, you will help us speed up the cleaning process for the next guests!
Waste recycling in apartments
In the yard there is a waste sorting point where you can sort the following types of waste:
- Cardboard
- Paper
- Metal
- Glass
- Plastic
- Biowaste
- Combustible waste / mixed waste
Unauthorized presence on the golf course
Unauthorized presence on the golf course and cutting across the greens is strictly prohibited. Inappropriate behavior on the golf course can create dangerous situations and disturb play.
Book a Sauna Session at Marinan Portti
The Marinan Portti Majakka and Kapteeni buildings have shared sauna facilities for residents, which you can rent during your stay.
You can book these saunas through Hiekka Booking.
Both buildings have their own saunas located in the basement level.
The sauna can be reserved for 1 or 2 hours at a time:
- 1 hour: €15
- 2 hours: €25
Reservations are made through the online store. Please make your booking by 4 PM the day before. For same-day availability, call +358 50 5415431.
Before your reservation begins, you will receive a PIN code via email, which grants access to the sauna facilities.
Please remember to bring your own towels and toiletries. Seat covers (peflettis) are available at the sauna.
Majakka also features a meeting room for up to 20 people, and Kapteeni includes a small club room suitable for informal meetings.

Sustainability
Sustainability has been one of Hiekka Booking’s main values from the very beginning. We want to be a part of the more sustainable tourism in these unique surroundings of Kalajoki. We have choosed EcoCompass as our enviromental management system, which has helped us to identify our most relevant environmental impacts and creating environmental program with objectives and concrete measures. We are also part of Sustainable Travel Finland -programme.

Sustainability tips for travellers
- Turn off the lights and other devices after leaving the apartment and immediately after use. Unplug electrical appliances when you no longer need them.
- Do not drain the water unnecessarily. Use water sparingly.
- The room temperature is at best 20–22º C. If the apartment has a cooling air heat pump, do not set the temperature cooler than this and turn off the device when you leave the apartment.
- In the summer, keep the apartment curtains closed to enhance the effect of ventilation. Consequently, the room temperature does not rise too high either.
- Outside of the summer season, make sure that the doors and windows are closed. This keeps the heat inside.
- If there is a broken device in the apartment, inform the staff about it. Broken devices consume more energy.
- Recycle the waste generated during your vacation according to the recycling instructions found in the apartment folder.
- Use the cleaning detergents in the apartment according to the dosage instructions.
- Wash only full loads when using the dishwasher and washing machine.

- Prefer local: when visiting the area, use local services, such as grocery stores, program service entrepreneurs, factory stores, and make your reservations through the companies’ own online stores and reservations. In this way, you ensure that the economy remains genuinely in the area, and does not trickle down, for example, to foreign booking operators in the form of commissions.
- In the Kalajoki holiday area, the distances are short. If possible, move around the area on foot or by bicycle.
- There are charging points for electric cars for example in ABC petrol station , Shopping Center Loisto, Tapion Tupa and beside hotel Santa’s Resort & Spa Hotel Sani.

Kalajoki offers an array of activities to choose from and invites you to forget your watch and loosen your tie. There are many things to do if you’d like to discover the outdoors: Jump on a bike and head over to the woods, the rural villages or the beach – do you hear nature calling? Follow the duckboards, smell the salt in the air and enjoy the moment! Discover the gems of Kalajoki by wandering, hiking or cycling around, surfing on the waves or the ice. Go golfing, fishing or head out on a paddling tour.
